Harpd Langue uses voices already provided by your device. No paid voice pack or subscription is required. Download a free 日本語 system voice on your computer or phone, then return here and select the matching Region and Voice.
ja-JPWindows 11 / 10
- Open Start → Settings → Time & language → Language & region.
- Use Add a language to add Japanese, if it is not listed.
- Select ⋯ → Language options, then download Text-to-speech under Language features.
- Close and reopen your browser, then choose the matching region and voice on this page.
macOS
- Open Apple menu → System Settings → Accessibility → Read & Speak.
- Open System voice, click the information button, and find Japanese.
- Click Download beside a voice, wait for it to finish, then select that voice.
- Reload this page and choose the same region under Region and Voice.
iPhone / iPad
- Open Settings → Accessibility → Read & Speak → Voices.
- Choose Japanese, then select the required dialect or region.
- Tap a voice to download it. Enhanced voices may require Wi‑Fi and more storage.
- Fully close and reopen the browser, then select the installed voice here.
Android
- Open Settings → Accessibility → Text-to-speech output.
- Open the preferred engine settings and tap Install voice data.
- Choose Japanese and download the required regional voice.
- Restart the browser and select the matching Region and Voice on this page.
Android menu names vary by phone maker. You can also search Settings for “Text-to-speech”.
